Sam’s Pandemic Playbook for Teams

March 2020 felt as if someone pressed pause on the planet and mislaid the remote. Co-working spaces slammed shut, our reseller partners drifted off the radar, and every group chat devolved into pictures of bread and mild hysteria. Oddly enough, that chaos turned into the best proof that Timeforce could help people stay vaguely sane.

From Panic to Daily Pulse

The first Monday after lockdown I hosted an open Zoom clinic. I expected five friendly faces. Instead forty-odd freelancers, agencies, and one CFO who kept muting himself shuffled in, tea in hand. We shared screens of their cursed spreadsheets, ported timers over on the spot, and you could almost hear the collective sigh of relief.

To keep some rhythm, we rolled out what we called the “Daily Pulse”:

  • A pre-filled stand-up note inside Timeforce so nobody had to think before the kettle boiled.
  • Gentle nudges to log breaks because burnout was already lurking.
  • A weekly retro prompt: “what felt heavy this week?” A bit earnest, yet it did the trick.

Nothing flashy, just reliable.

A Quiet Kind of Proof

Within a couple of months, a good handful of studios had settled in and were telling their mates. One team in Berlin even sent a client a screenshot of the tidy summary view we export, and the client replied “this actually makes sense”. We printed that compliment and stuck it on the fridge like proud children.

Lessons I’ll Keep

Plain empathy beats slick launch copy every time. Checking in with a simple “how are you holding up, honestly” converted more accounts than any polished deck I ever sweated over. Also: never underestimate the morale boost of a shared cat GIF thread at four in the afternoon when everyone’s brains resemble custard.

Still juggling tabs trying to remember when you started a task? Pop by. We’ll help you get sorted. Sourdough optional, pyjamas absolutely acceptable.
